About Prophet

Prophet is a team of crypto enthusiasts from Ukraine who love working with industry leaders and thoughtfully pick chains to participate in.

Prophet operates its own bare metal server infrastructure located in Europe to deliver >99% uptime, devoting to the source code, and constantly staying in contact with core teams to never miss a thing.

We strive to deliver the best possible service and have a genuine interest in Web3 technologies, which led us to take part in the most novel programs like the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol.

We have been working as a node operator and validator since 2018, holding more than 5 years of experience in managing node infrastructure on 20 chains, contributing to projects by developing and supporting new products, and educating the community about Web3 to reach mass adoption.

Currently, we are working as a validator in NEAR Protocol and a node operator in Chainlink.

We started our journey with Chainlink as an oracle for ETH/USD price aggregator, then quickly gained trust and experience to provide more than 500+ data feeds on Ethereum, Fantom, and Moonriver networks to secure billions of value.

Our biggest success in Chainlink is the ongoing participation in the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol from the earliest stages. We are currently running private CCIP nodes in Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, Avalanche, Ethereum, BSC, Base, Kroma, and Wemix plus participating in testing.

NEAR interested us with its sharding-oriented design that promises and delivers real scalability. We started validating NEAR in 2021 and gained 800+ delegators with more than $6 million in total stake.

Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

1. Prophet will maintain a >99% uptime SLA with the Metis Sequencer. We will be equally committed to maintaining our services for Mainnet and follow our best practices to prevent even the smallest problems from occurring. Prophet had no slashing events from its validation history starting in 2018 and will maintain this perfect record on Metis.
2. We will responsibly store the Metis Sequencer keys to ensure the network’s security.

Benefits for Community

As members of the Metis community, we will participate in online and offline events, create educational content, and support Metis awareness growth.

We will engage users to participate in staking with Prophet to enhance the protocol’s security.

Integration Roadmap

After being voted in to become a part of the Metis network, we will follow the DAO’s suggestions and roll out our services:

1. Prophet will set up and start the sequencer node on hardware with computational power exceeding the recommended requirements to safeguard our infrastructure from unpredictable activity spikes. After acquiring 20,000 METIS, Prophet will register our sequencer details and continue running.
2. Prophet will test the sequencer node in coordination with the Metis team to ensure flawless functioning and compliance with high-security standards along with pairing the the node with our monitoring and alerting system.
3. Prophet will officially announce running a sequencer node and the start of working with Metis.
4. Prophet will monitor our sequencer node operations and optimize the processes to achieve the best efficiency.
