As an early supporter and large token holder, I have spoken to many community members about the upcoming launch of the AUM token.

From questions in the TG channels, it has become clear that there is an ongoing confusion about the introduction of AUM as the native MANTRA Chain token. Furthermore, a lot of momentum has been building up around the MANTRA Chain Testnet launch and its big potential in the last couple of weeks. This is not just positive for MANTRA but also for OM holders as the MANTRA ecosystem is seeing significant growth in all areas from user number, staked OM and more.

Thus, instead of bringing in a brand-new L1 token for MANTRA Chain (AUM token), I believe it would be beneficial for the project to upgrade the OM token and make it the only/main token once the MANTRA Chain goes live.

Reasons for Proposal:

Considering the strong brand of MANTRA and the recognition OM has, I believe using OM at the core of the MANTRA Ecosystem would make the most sense. This move can potentially kickstart the MANTRA Chain Mainnet launch and open up lots of possibilities. Here are a few thoughts on this:

There are 7.7K OM holders on ETH, and getting them on board with the MANTRA Chain Mainnet could quickly onboard a substantial user base, adding value and attention to the project. The MANTRA Chain Testnet started with the AUM token, but it would be more sensible to keep things simple and have everything under the OM umbrella. This way attention and use cases would be directed towards the original OM token - benefiting its holders and the community.

If technically possible, I would like to propose to the team & council to consider:

· To consolidate the planned AUM tokens with the existing OM tokens under one umbrella rather than having 2 different tokens. · To migrate OM from EVM to the Cosmos ecosystem · To run MANTRA Testnet phase 2 with OM as the chain token

Proposal Summary:

As an active community member, I want to see OM and MANTRA succeed, but do not know enough about the technical feasibility. Therefore, if approved by the DAO vote, I would like to ask the MANTRA DAO team & council to look into this proposal and to prepare the next steps.
