Lil Nouns DAO

In the last attempts, we barely missed the threshold despite solid participation from our community. This shows that a few key tweaks could make our system way more effective and decentralized. So, I’m bringing this proposal back.

Currently, our approval process includes 2 days of waiting, 3 days of voting, and 2 days in the final queue, all within a 7-day period. This setup has challenges. With limited active voters, even though we tried to reduce reliance on power voters by lowering quorum, many genuine voters are busy during the week. We need to boost engagement from genuine voters to make the process more inclusive and democratic. Recent proposals show that we can almost reach quorum without relying on power voters, which hints at healthier voting habits.

Here’s my proposal. Keep the waiting period at two days, extend the voting period to four days, and keep the final queue at two days. This stretches the process to 8 days but gives us more time for voting. The extra day will allow for better engagement from genuine voters, leading to more informed decisions and less idle time.

Every Lil voice matters. My communication with less active Lil Nouners shows that extending the voting period and broadly reminding people will increase participation. This way, we show compassion for everyone’s busy schedules and ensure more voices can contribute to our decisions.

More time for voting means greater participation and a more inclusive decision-making process. This change ensures every genuine voter has the opportunity to contribute, making the process more democratic and fair. We need to make sure no one feels left out or unheard, and this adjustment can help us do just that.
