Lido DAO

Following the Request for Proposals (RFP) from NEW (Network Expansion Workgroup) that concluded on December 5th, 2023, there are 4 eligible submissions to develop wstETH bridge on BNB received positive or neutral feedback from the community. This vote will identify the most supported team among the eligible competing submissions whose references given below to kick off or continue development.

Voting conditions

This vote is a ‘temperature check’ and does not require a quorum of 5% of LDO total supply (50M) votes for any single option.

The winning submission will be determined based on two conditions:

1. A quorum of 50M in total across all options is reached.
2. The leading option must exceed the second candidate by a margin of 20% of votes participated in the vote.

If the second condition is not met, the voting will be restarted, excluding options that received less than 10M LDO votes in the first round.

Submissions and forum discussions

This vote is required to complete the first phase of the BNB expansion process. Lido DAO is encouraged to engage in discussions and raise any concerns in the relevant forum posts to make the best decision.

Next steps

After the successful temperature check, the team that was chosen by Lido DAO will proceed with the development of the solution. The solution once ready (developed, audited, reviewed by the NEW and deployed) will be proposed to the Lido DAO.
