Should Lido support Terra reboot?
In relation to the UST collapse, Lido should make a decision on whether it will re-launch its protocol on a new Terra chain that is proposed to launch by the Terra proposal 1623.
The proposal of launching a new chain also includes an “Essential app developers” program that is going to give token allocation to the teams that approved their commitment to the ecosystem. Because of that, if Lido decides to launch a protocol on the new Terra, it should also make a decision on how to handle it.
It also should be mentioned that the proposal is tied to the possible reputational and legal risks (see full proposal and discussion for details).
The proposed options, based on the forum discussion, are:
- No relaunch of Lido on Terra.
- Relaunch Lido on Terra as described in the proposal. The token allocation is going to be distributed among UST holders. An actual procedure is to be defined further.
