Lido DAO

Summary

During the 2023 GOOSE (Guided Open Objective Setting Exercise) proposal window exactly one proposal for 2024 and 2024-2026 goals was submitted: Hasu’s GOOSE Submission. In light of this, the 2023 GOOSE cycle proposal is to adopt the proposed set of goals.

GOOSE

GOOSE is a framework establishing the open yearly process designed for the Lido DAO to pick a set of short and medium-term goals. The framework was adopted by Lido DAO in the snapshot vote on 22 Sept 2023. The current vote is the first run of the process.

Hasu’s proposal

Hasu proposed set of goals for the Lido DAO for the 3-year and 1-year period is as follows:

Proposed 3-year goals

• Goal #1: Lido has effective and decentralized governance;
• Goal #2: Lido attracts the best validator set in the market;
• Goal #3: stETH is the most used token in the Ethereum ecosystem.

  • Bring-Your-Own-Validator (BYOV) staking module
  • Redesign Channel Approach
  • Deploy liquidity to its most efficient use

GOOSE Review Cycle

GOOSE is designed to run on a yearly cadence, which means that the assessment and review of these goals will take place no more than 10 months apart. DAO Ops workstream is responsible for announcing the specific dates of the yearly cycle.
