Summary

If passed, this proposal will initiate a migration from the current Mirror ticket NFTs to a V2 contract built by Krause House. All current holders will be able to exchange their tickets for the new tickets. No v2 tickets will be granted to those who do not currently hold a v1 ticket (1:1 supply).

The proposal requests up to 2 ETH to account for gas deployment costs, but the team expects this number to be much less and will submit transaction hashes for proof-of-spend post-deployment.

Why Now

The migration to our own ticket contract is inevitable to enable greater control over tickets’ use cases and increased interoperability with other in-house protocols. The project team believes this migration is better done sooner rather than later for the following reasons:

1. Migrations can be messy, they’re easier the smaller the community is
2. The Mirror contract can appear questionable to those looking to buy a ticket
3. There are a number of upcoming projects hoping to use tickets as a unique user identity, this requires some custom functionality

Contract Details

The following will be used as acceptance criteria for the contract’s development:

1. The contract is implemented through an upgradeable proxy owned by the treasury multi-sig
2. The contract implementation conforms to the ERC1155 standard

All ticket types (Upper Level, Club Level, and Courtside) will be different token ids on the same ERC1155.

Migration Details

Migration will be performed through a simple UI in which you connect your wallet, view the legacy ticket NFTs you have to exchange, click the exchange button, and confirm a transaction to exchange them. Any legacy NFTs held will then be burned and the new ones sent to your wallet.

The exchange will be done through another contract developed by the team, and the site will be hosted on a krausehouse.club subdomain to verify authenticity.
