OVERVIEW

This proposal is a request to use Krause House treasury funds to execute the vision for NFT NYC that has already been planned/scoped out and has an amazing team to bring it to life.

The vision is to make the world’s 1st physical NFT court with the partners we have brought & use the 3 experiences we have curated (a professional basketball & esports tournaments & KH member only pick-up game) to bring exposure to both the NFT & KH.

We are looking to request a funding of

Initial Deposits: $107k USDC

Deposits to be made in full before event: $63k USDC

Payments to be made after NFT sale: $148k USDC

HOW WILL FUNDS BE USED

• Pay out fees for venues, equipment rentals (sound, lighting, furniture, etc)
• For NFT NYC team fees involved from designers, marketing and event curators (doesn’t include @dbag#3251)
• Begin production of NFT court & other physical event essentials (deco, flyers, banners, etc)
• Fuel marketing campaign, content, influencers & press spend
• Setup legal and accounting structures
• Travel for NFT NYC team (7, see section below) and a select few professional basketball players competing in the tournament

HOW WILL FUNDS BE MANAGED

• 3/4 NFT NYC Gnosis Safe with the approved budget amount to be created with the following signers: dbag, jonezin, narray, greg
• Agency has created an event specific LLC to pay cash and take on any liability
• Dbag will collect invoices and then submit requests to Utopia on behalf of approved event partners, vendors and collaborators. Dbag will also manage and coordinate payments either in cash or USDC.

CLAUSE

The Stewardship team has the power to cancel the payment if this project does not deliver what is outlined above.

Our plan to succeed (marketing plan)

• Because of a revenue-sharing model every partners, player and artist we bring on will be incentivized to bring more exposure towards the NFT to receive their expected return.
• Guerrilla marketing campaign around NY with a KH branded truck & basketball hoop attached to bring guaranteed virility
• Give-away campaigns: Quests that people can complete to get a chance to win an NFT or be VIP at the event
• Strategic press & Influencers partnerships to increase KH exposure in relevant circles

What has the Krause House NFT NYC team been up to?

Experiences

• We have flown out to NYC, filtered & scouted through 25 venues have finalized on two venues with soft holds & pending deposits
• We have talked to at least 20+ potential partners, artists, vendors in the basketball, esports, web2 + web3 and NFT space. At least with over 10 of them locked in.

NFT Court

• Locked in a manufacturing company to produce a NBA-quality basketball court for the NFT court as playing surface for the tournament
• Mapped out a technical framework for deployment of mint site
• Finalized timeline, design direction, fulfillment services & shipping logistics execute a frictionless customer experience

Administrative

• Structured an amazing team and core partners to handle partnerships, marketing, design and fabrication
• Created a incentive plan that is net-positive for everyone involved - partners, players, artists
• Advised with legal and accountant teams to have full liability protection and tax friendly
• Fleshed out a comprehensive budget scope needed to realistically pull this off with NY & event production pricing
• Connected with hotels to offer discounted rooms for KH members coming to NFT NYC

Locked In Partners, Players or Artists

All the below partners, players or artists will also be helping with viral content creation and co-marketing the events. In return everyone will be getting % allocation of NFT sales, described below. Just the players will be getting NFTs and be able join our community. Artists & partners will get WL spots to circulate.

• Creator Classic / In the Lab - submitting 4 teams & potentially dunkers for a dunk contest
• Dev from In the Lab - will attend the 3v3 tournament & will be vlogging from the Marketing Truck driving around Times Square

NFT Court Breakdown

We’ll be designing & building a physical court that all the players will compete on. The same court will then be fractionalized into at least 1’x1’ physical pieces and sold as NFTs.

The design will be a mosaic of different artist’s works to make a collaborative masterpiece.

Minting will also get you the physical court section you mint delivered in the mail

Note: this new supply of members would be coming from a circle of basketball fans through intentionally picked partners, artists and players involved.

Allocation of Funds from NFT Sale

The following is a tentative % breakdown to have some operating room for all the roles involved in the efforts of completing this project. Every role here would receive at least these allocated %’s.

It will be the responsibility of the authors of this proposal to finalize % breakdown for the unallocated & approval by Stewards.

The NFT NYC Team will not receive more than 20%.

• Players are any professional players competing in the tournament
• NFT Artists are anyone who submits their artwork on the court
• Collaborators include half-time performers and influencers
• Partners are anyone helping with costs & exposure
• Unallocated % is reserved for fulfillment expenses and any artists + partners that come into the mix that can bring in more engagement or value to this project. This reserve is also for also any major changes in ETH prices.
• If 2% remains of unallocated budget is available it will be used as NFT NYC team bonuses to be divided through a Coordinape circle (authors of this post are not eligible to bonuses)
• Any remaining allocation will go back into the KH treasury

OTHER PROJECT DETAILS

June 22nd - The Pop-Up Stadium Experience

The opening event that introduces KH IRL by hosting a 3v3 basketball tournament with halftime show all on our custom NFT court in a space surrounded by the cultures of basketball, fashion, music and art. The tournament will have at least 8 teams that will play in a single elimination bracket

Venue Location: Classic Car Club Manhattan

June 23rd - Esports Gaming Night

A relaxed night in a gaming lounge hosting a 2k tournament, talking trash and chopping it up while streaming the NBA Draft. The tournament will have at least 8 teams that will play in a double elimination bracket.

Venue Location: OS NYC

June 25th - KH Member Pick-Up Game

A member only casual work out & 3v3 tournament at the Post BK in Brooklyn being trained by the Swish House - a community of professional basketball players

Charity of Choice

We’ve met with Basketball City in NYC and were blown away by their history in the city and their philanthropic vision. For context, Basketball City is the largest basketball facility in Manhattan and hosts every NBA team when they play in NYC. They have been donating ~$1M to local basketball youth organizations per year & actively works with NBA Cares in philanthropic activities for the past 12 year.

They will also be working with NBA Cares the SAME week as NFT NYC and will be hosting the NBA Draft Class players.
