JBP-111 - Multisig Expansion
Summary:
Add 10 new community members to the Juicebox Gnosis multisig (mainnet: 0xAF28bcB48C40dBC86f52D459A6562F658fc94B1e)
Abstract:
Use a weighted snapshot vote to determine which 14 prospective multisig members the community most supports controlling the Juicebox multisig. Transfer multisig ownership to those individuals, and update the multisig threshold to 9.
Motivation:
Increasing the size of the multisig not only further decentralizes Juicebox, but makes the multisig more impervious to individual bad actors and manipulation.
Risks:
- All multisig-associated risks will be inherited by these new members.
- Having a higher threshold and more multisig members may lead to coordination issues.
- Configurations will have to be queued quickly to allow for signing.
- New multisig members may not be as dedicated as existing members.

Hold a weighted vote on the Juicebox Snapshot (https://snapshot.org/#/jbdao.eth) with the following options:

Any vote other than a “no” or an “abstain” will be counted as a “yes” for standard governance purposes.
If this proposal passes, multisig ownership will be transferred to the 14 volunteers with the most JBX votes.
If the proposal passes and fewer than 14 volunteers have received JBX votes, only those who receive JBX votes will be added to the multisig.
The threshold will be set to the lowest possible number above (total multisig owner accounts * 0.6).
Rationale:
A weighted vote allows for the multisig’s updated makeup to reflect the will of the community.
