Thesis:

Distribute 100,000,000 JBX from dao.jbx.eth to wallets which have been supporting Juicebox DAO.

Abstract:

ARCx is a decentralized scoring protocol that powers on-chain identity and credit-score based borrowing.

The ARCx team has built a Juicebox DAO Benefits score, which is based on governance participation and a JBX hodl score. The governance participation score is based on the number of Juicebox DAO snapshot votes which a wallet has participated in, and the hodl score is based on the total amount of time a wallet has held JBX. This proposal would allow wallets in various score ranges to claim different amounts of JBX, up to a maximum of 100,000,000 JBX.

Motivation:

• FC#16 JBX distribution efforts failed to pass through Juicebox governance. This proposal aims to accomplish similar goals, but uses a richer dataset to establish distribution criteria.
• Further distribution of JBX mitigates existential risks to Juicebox and the Juicebox ecosystem. The more decentralized JBX is, the more resilient the ecosystem is to individual bad actors or hostile takeovers.
• Further JBX distribution will allow for governance to more closely reflect the views of the Juicebox community at large.
• This distribution will reward governance participation and long-term commitments to Juicebox, which should both be encouraged.

Risks:

• This proposal will dilute the voting power of JBX holders not on the list.
• JBX should go to the hands of those who will utilize it to represent Juicebox’s long term interests. This proposal trusts that the criteria behind the Juicebox DAO Benefits score targets these individuals.

Specification:

Take a snapshot of ARCx Juicebox DAO Benefits scores at Ethereum block 14263369.

Create an airdrop using Astrodrop ↓

Evenly allocate a total of 16,666,667 JBX between wallets with scores above 300 Evenly allocate a total of 33,333,333 JBX between wallets with scores from 201-300 Evenly allocate a total of 50,000,000 JBX between wallets with scores from 53-200

Once the airdrop is created, create an announcement on the Juicebox DAO Discord server and on @juiceboxETH on Twitter, linking to the Astrodrop claiming page.

Rationale:

• Using Astrodrop means this distribution can be deployed rapidly with relatively low effort.
• The larger JBX totals for the lower score ranges offsets the high number of wallets within these ranges.
• Distributing 100,000,000 JBX will have a significant impact, but still leaves ~160,000,000 JBX in the DAO’s reserve for future distributions.

Timeline:

This JBX should be claimable within 10 days of this proposal passing at most.
