Thesis:

DAO NYC will be the flagship DAO Event in New York, a conference for DAO’s by DAO’s to talk and learn…about DAO’s.

This proposal is to request that JuiceBox DAO to attend and sponsor the event. The sponsorship amount would be 10K, but would have the speaking/panel benefit of the Contributor Tier.

Abstract:

DAO NYC is looking to gather 35 DAO’s, DAO Tools, Service Providers, and builders into a one day conference in New York where we can learn, build and grow from one another.

Set during the week of NFT NYC, and right before ETHNY, DAO NYC is an un-conference format event focused on interactive panel discussions and workshops. The topics range from creating, building and running DAO’s, community challenges and solutions, treasury management, organization best practices and more.

The conference is very much a product of the sponsors who participate and we are looking forward to a very hands on, rewarding event.

Motivation:

I personally (Dennison Bertram, co-founder of Tally.xyz) would like JuiceBox DAO to be a sponsor of the event. JuiceBox is paving the way for what collective crowdfunding looks like, what it can do, and how we can use it to create+fund wild ideas and sustainable communities.

As the authority on DAO crowdfunding I think JuiceBoxes voice is important to have as part of the discussion.

Risks:

We could put on a bad conference or no one comes.

Specification:

DAO NYC is requesting a sponsorship of Contributor Tier ($10k) the breakdown is as follows:

Contributor: 1 of 12 NFT series dedicated to event sponsorship

3rd tier logo placement in marketing materials and event page

Own (1) speaking opportunity Feature of company/brand in marketing materials 5 NFT tickets for team and partners Basic on-site branded experience Git Bag inclusion Logo on commemorative t-shirt back

In either case, we would be happy to work with JuiceBox to determine the best way to appear at the event.

Rationale:

DAO NYC is a community event and needs the community of DAO’s to help support it.

Timeline:

The event is June 22nd, but of course the event costs close far far in advance. Ideally we would ask to receive the sponsorship payment in the next two weeks at the latest.
