PIP-10: Authorize DAO To Purchase NFTs
Abstract The DAO has approximately 26m in stables and 12.5m in ETH that it can use to purchase distressed NFTs from other protocols or via OTC.
Background The JPEG’d DAO has excess capital it can use to purchase NFTs that are either set for liquidation from other protocols or privately from buyers OTC. It can use DAO funds to purchase NFTs at discounts to market (via liquidations) or other means. Once purchasing such NFTs the DAO can use it to mint PUSd and earn yield on the JPEG’d protocol.
Proposal Authorize the DAO a budget of up to $2m in either stables or ETH to purchase Cryptopunks, BAYC, MAYC, or EtherRocks. Discretion to purchase a particular NFT and it’s price will be at the discretion of the Multisig operating on the best interests of the DAO.
