Raise OpenSea Royalties To Better Fund The DAO & Development
(This proposal is being proposed by the Gray Boys team - Check Discord announcements to confirm)
Currently, the royalty fee on the Gray Boys collection is 5%.
For every sale made within the collection on OpenSea, 5% of the sale amount is paid to Gray Boys by OpenSea. For example, if a Gray Boy sells for 1 eth currently, OpenSea pays Gray Boys a royalty fee of 0.05 Eth for that sale.
From these royalties, the proceeds are split 50/50 between the DAO funds and the development fund.
The DAO fund is what’s used by the community to purchase more NFTs to the community wallet.
The development fund is used by the team to fund internal development. Given the current royalties and sales volume, raising the royalties to 10% would give us the available and predictable funds to bring in another engineering related hire to help accelerate the roadmap development and progress on Gray Boys utility.
