Addendum to the budget

On top of the 8.0 ETH in the initial budget, the Curation Board is asking for an additional 0.5 ETH as a cushion or buffer so we do not have to come back and ask for an extra half ETH incase there is an unforeseen expense. Unlike the government, we intend to minimize expenses and deliver under budget and return as much ETH as possible to the treasury.

The goals of the Curation Board are to promote generative artwork, promote the DAO, and contribute to the treasury. We have been working diligently toward an excellent art release in August.

Among other things, the board has:

-Selected an outstanding artist for the upcoming release and secured an agreement with ArtBlocks to provide the technology.

-Curated artists for an October online exhibition in partnership with a top IRL gallery that will result in exposure for the DAO and revenue for the treasury.

-Planned an evening presentation at a large group generative art show at a different gallery at no cost to the DAO.

The Curation Board has been operating lean and bootstrapping where possible. We are now at a point where an infusion of capital is needed. We view this as an investment in future revenue from the upcoming release and exhibition sales. We will try to be under budget and return any unused ETH to the treasury.

The Curation Board is requesting 8.5 ETH allocated as follows:

August art release: 1.5 ETH For technical work on the Grailers website front end (expected to be lower for future releases). 1.0 ETH for the oversight of the curation board chair.

Art exhibition and sale: 3.0 ETH for a marketing video that would also promote the DAO and other forms of promotion. 2.5 ETH for the management work of the project lead.

Extra: 0.5 ETH for unforeseen expenses.

The board expects to raise: ~7.0 ETH for the primary sales of the August art release plus secondary sales revenue. 1.5 - 3.0 ETH (perhaps quite a bit higher) from the October art exhibition and sale.
