A supercharged governance client for GnarsDAO.

Why

A revamped governance platform is necessary to increase participation in governance, make it more fun to read and participate, and enable a seamless transition to on-chain governance when that day comes.

What

House of Nouns (https://houseofnouns.xyz) received a grant from NounsDAO in the Governance mandate Prop House round, and we’d love to build a revamped solution for Gnars as well.

Gnars House will enable discussion, better data, and crucial member context in order to scale Gnars governance participation to the next level.

An upgraded version of https://houseofnouns.wtf specifically tailored to GnarsDAO.

Beyond the killer features from House of Nouns, Gnars House would include the following upgrades:

• Discord ingestion
  • View Discussion from Discord inline on Gnars House
• Proposal templates
  • Easy to use templates to create new proposals for people unfamiliar w/ the Gnars proposal process
  • @gami “Templates are super interesting”:
    • Dropdown to choose one of the following:
      • Make a splash / marketing PR stunt
      • Sponsor me type
      • Do something for my community
• Automatic translation to make it more accessible for LATAM / European etc. residents
  • Some community members expressed interest in automatic translations for proposals, discussion etc.
• Ingest proposal ideas from Discord into a “feelers” section
  • Pull proposals from Discord and include in a Gnars.House feelers section to get more feedback
  • Allow easy graduation by trusted members from “Feeler” stage to official proposal
• Voter companion podcast potential
  • could potentially do a Prop Talk podcast for Gnars proposals and projects down the line

Timeline

• 1 week: Basic MVP platform launch, ready for live testing and feedback
• 4-5 weeks: Full platform launch, upgrades built out and platform adjusted based on feedback
