A proposal asking for 0.69 ETH and Gnar 2767 from the treasury to facilitate the package design and cost of a test-batch of “Gnarsauce” a gnars themed hot sauce to add flavor to your day. It’s perfect for those on fire trying to keep the flames stoked AND for cheering up those having a participation-trophy only type of day.

Deliverables

Bottle design for three different sauces with flavor names decided by the community. Package design of a box that holds a set of three. This will be CCO open source downloadable for anybody to use. Delivery of gnarsauce to discord raffle winners and promotional events. An order site for additional gnars sauce after funding is used up.

Funding uses

This proposal does not cover starting a hot sauce business as much as bootstrapping the ability to get branded gnarsauce. The small amount of ETH included in this proposal will be used for:

• Payment for printing and labeling a pre-existing hot sauce (white-label).
• Postage for sending out samples to discord winners and sponsored extreme athletes (drop-ship and manually).
• Taste samples, hosting, and material needs.

Gnar 2767 will be moved to gnarsauce.eth and used as the primary gnar for labeling.

Timeframe

(Immediately) Public feedback, conversion to a markdown proposal with feedback to be presented to a board meeting.

• A month of design work and competitive hot sauce/whitelabel/dropship research.
• A month of active community votes while finalizing designs and first run participants.
• • We will lobby to present to the podcast, preferably with samples at the ready.
• • We will community vote on names and run raffles or contests for early taste testers. Month three will be the final decision of purchase strategy, deliveries, and the creation of a product site. Month four is realistic padding on delivery to individuals and smoothing out any operational hiccups.

Future plans

• A public site will be available to the public to order individual bottles or cases. Crowdsource recommendations (recipes, dropshipping, etc) will be crunched for a future evolution (This is not necessary for the original whitelabel order concept).
• The creation of a business model where the majority of income is split between the gnars treasury and a gnarsauce coffer for administration and shipping costs to facilitate future events/tacobars/skishops/and other adoption fun stuff.
• FoodNOUNS will be approached, but this would not rely on their infrastructure.

Goals

An excuse for a fun gnarsauce label and bragging rights. Eat yummy tacos and spicy pho after a hard gnarly day. (the dream) Using our extensive network to make our own unique sauce, funding further projects and athletes.

Longtime board sports enthusiast, slightly mellowed with age. I taught snowboarding in Tahoe, but now attend more online board meetings than first chairs sadly. Still!
