This governance vote is for determining the potential listing of new markets for EIGEN. This approval is different than prior proposals in that it is seeking approval from governance contingent on paramaters and using a chainlink datastreams feed that has not yet gone live.

EigenLayer is an Ethereum-based protocol that aims to commoditize decentralized trust. It introduces a new concept called restaking, which allows users to stake ETH across multiple protocols at once. The staked ETH is used as cryptoeconomic security on other protocols, and restakers earn protocol fees and rewards in return. By integrating EigenLayer, developers can leverage Ethereum’s secure trust network without the need to bootstrap a new trust network to secure their system.

Such listing pre-approval will be the first in a fasting listing framework, working with key protocol partners to allow GMX to quickly support major new token listings that enjoy broad availability on leading CEXs. Such listings are anticipated in most cases occur within 24-48 hours of listing.
