Summary: Secure funding for up to 700 custom gm. branded hoodies (black) for the DAO.

Over the past few months we have worked with Metamade labs (run by gmDAO member Rodo), to acquire test samples of various clothing items for our gen. 0 merch drop. Now that we have incorporated the DAO, we are in a position where we can do business with companies that require an entity to invoice & to pay VAT.

After going through a number of different suppliers, we have identified one which meets our quality standards for a reasonable price.

This proposal seeks to gain funding for 1 free hoodie for each gmDAO member, with an initial estimate of 700 pieces being required.

Rationale: Merchandise provides members with the ability to represent the DAO proudly both within their social groups & in public events such as conferences and meet-ups.

Specifics: The DAO would subsidize at 40% the cost of 1 hoodie per member (not per token). We will also offer members the ability to purchase additional items such as sweaters & t-shirts at their own expense.

Due to the wide distribution of our member base, members would be asked to cover their own shipping costs.

In the coming weeks, we will give members the opportunity to provide their preferred size with us. Once we’ve gathered this information, we will place the order with ± 10% overhead to accomodate any members that may have missed the window (extra sizes will be ordered based on the normal distribution of the DAO).

Specifics on the mechanics of the merch drop itself will be announced closer to the date itself.
