Summary:

Acquire a Boto.io lifetime membership NFT for the price of 1 ETH.

Rationale:

We have been using Boto for both or studio & DAO discord to capture sales, snapshots & new mints for almost 1 year, but they have recently switched from a free to paid model.

Their monthly subscriptions are fairly priced, but are hard to scale during high demand. The quota of bot triggers increases with each tier, and we see a large amount of variance especially during studio drops. https://boto.io/pricing/

Specifics:

Right now our current requirement would probably put us into the bronze category ($25/month), but could easily increase to silver as we grow (51$/month).

This equates to $300/year or $600/year respectively.

The lifetime NFT provides the gold package indefinitely, but costs 1 ETH or ~$1400 at today’s prices.

Pros:

Invest & support a group of developers who has helped us from the start of the DAO

Lifetime subscriptions are limited to 25 pieces & are not offered to every community

Allows us to scale easily

Cons :

We are paying for a subcritpion that is more than what we currently need & would need to use to tool for 2-3 years to recoup our investment if our demand doesn’t increase.
