Summary: To extend Defi Beat’s role as Treasurer for the first half of 2025 (Jan -June 2025)

Stipend: 2,000 USD / Month

250 USD / Month for accounting software

Operations: To assist the DAOs day-to-day operations as it relates to inflows, outflows, and accounting. To work with professionals (Lawyers and Accountants) to ensure we are doing everything by the book.

Reporting and Taxe:

Categorizing expenses in accounting software for both the Association and the Studio.

Running monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for tax filing purposes.

Treasury Management: Our goal remains to aid the DAO in generating yield while taking into account the larger DAOs risk tolerance.

Risks: Investment risks on a small portion of our treasury

Spending treasury on salaries but not seeing any tangible benefits

Day-to-Day Operations:

Monitoring the treasury on a regular basis to spot oddities or opportunities for diversification

Paying contributors and the studio - i.e., wrangling multi sig signers

Updating our accounting software to ensure transactions are tagged appropriately

Working with our Tax professional to ensure we are compliant with all Swiss tax laws

Diversifying our treasury by swapping into more stables Providing paperwork to contributors and accounting firms to ensure we are compliant with whatever jurisdiction we end up incorporating in

Total spend = 13,500 USD Overall this has been a pretty stable position. Overall contributors get paid and the treasury is rebalanced in a timely fashion.

Once we have more Eth we can talk about Defi but we aren’t there at the moment.

Working with Lawyers / Accountants / Accounting software take up about 2-3 hours a week.

At the end of the day, if any transaction goes wrong with the multi sig I consider myself personally responsible. I consider part of my stipend as compesation for taking on that responsibility.
