Summary:

This is a proposal to retain a_dirty_boy as a collab manager for 10 hours per week at $30 per hour for a duration of 3 months.

Rationale:

How have I already contributed to the DAO?

I’ve been an active member since November 2021, a Multisignatory since May 2022 and a Mod since July 2022; I’ve volunteered a lot of my time to gmDAO projects, drafting proposals, arranging both inbound and outbound collabs, following up on leads referred by members, building relationships with external projects and creators, creating competitions and more general project outreach.

I’ve created a system to keep track of inbound and outbound collab requests, referrals, contacts, competitions and results using a combination of google forms and sheets. I’ve increased security by using specific wallets and discord profiles for use when visiting project websites and joining project servers. I’ve implemented project account ownership verification on twitter via the @gmDAOcollab account.

I’ve grown and maintained a network of both resident and freelance collab managers. I have also begun to work, along with other CMs, on a server specifically created to both streamline our collective processes, handle more volume and to share collab alpha and contacts between projects and collab managers - aiming to increase our reach, opportunities and enabling us to connect with more projects.

I currently spend approx 10-20 hours per week, unpaid, either on calls or in discussions via DM/Twitter with projects and collab managers, assessing and filtering individual projects and creating competitions for gmDAO members alongside working a full-time position. I am not asking to be compensated for any time previously spent undertaking these tasks.

How does arranging collabs and project outreach currently provide value to gmDAO?

Arranging AL collabs provides value to gmDAO members in a number of ways:

• Time saved - The time that I spend arranging the AL collabs is time that members don’t have to spend to get themselves allowlisted individually.
• Guaranteed spots or increased odds - I always aim for our allocations to be in excess of the average number of competition entries for the giveaways. In cases where this is not possible; entrants have vastly better odds at securing spots through the gmDAO giveaways vs external giveaways.
• Financial gain - Although gains can’t be guaranteed I want members to be in a position to mint and take profits on successful, allowlisted collections wherever possible.
• Expanding our network - Our collab opportunities grow as our network expands

The above does not generate income for the DAO treasury. It is aimed squarely at providing value to our token holders.

Specifics:

How do I want to contribute to the DAO going forward?

I want to be able to continue with my current collab management tasks, refine and streamline the processes to allow for more volume and to dedicate more time to networking with other projects/collab managers. I also want to simplify the entry process for members so that they don’t miss AL opportunities. I aim to continue providing value to our members through time saved, increased exposure to new projects and potential financial gain.

Impact on treasury. Default of my obligations under the terms of the agreed retainer.

Payout amount:

$30 per hour for 10 hours per week over 3 months. I’ve based this rate on the current DAO rate for Ze_Boubs which is at the bottom end of the scale. It is also in line with my current employer’s standard overtime rate of £26.20 per hour. Matching this rate gives me the freedom to lower the amount of overtime I have to commit to government work to stay financially secure while allowing me to dedicate more time to working for gmDAO.
