Summary:

This proposal is to retain me (Cyphr) as a full-time contributor to the DAO & studio. Following an intial trial period, I would like to increase my retained period to 12 months to allow me to focus on my responsibilities without concern for my long term financial security. This period would cover the period of August 2022 - August 2023.

Over the past 6 months I have worked full time undertaking the tasks outlined in GM 4.1 — Cyphr 6 month retainer , with the majority of that time being dedicated to the management & continued success of gm. studio.

During my first 6 month retainer, we have reached a number of milestones for both the studio & the DAO. These achievements were made possible by many people, but all of which I oversaw & directed.

• Grew the DAO treasury to ~300 ETH
• Successfully launched 4 gm. studio drops generating 5,794 ETH in secondary volume
• gm. token reached a peak of 6 ETH & 1500 ETH secondary volume
• Grew the gm. studio twitter account to 19k followers & gmDAO account to 5k followers
• Generated over 2.4M impressions from the gm. studio twitter account
• Brought on 2 full / part time contributors @Ze_Boubs & @De-Fi Beats

My conservative estimate for working hours in my last proposal was 35 hours a week but in reality this number is often much higher. However, to keep things simple I’m happy to continue working based on that conservative estimate.

The DAO staff delegation* may terminate this retainer following a serious default of the employment obligations or gross misconduct which gives rise to a fair right to dismissal, provided that the delegation shall, where possible, prior to dismissal, give written notice to the member specifying the serious default which has been the cause of the dismissal.

A termination must be passed with an additional DAO vote via snapshot

Risks:

If ETH returns to 1k or below (and we have not yet rebalanced the treasury into stables), this retainer could take a substantial chunk of our ETH holdings. If this were to arise, I would happily withhold a % of my salary until such time that ETH has returned to a reasonable level.

Full time responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

• Build & maintain the reputation of the gmDAO as it’s founder
• Identify new projects & investment opportunities to grow the gmDAO treasury
• Management of gmDAO & gm. studio Twitter accounts
• Moderation & community management of gmDAO & gm. studio discords
• Business development for the gm. studio (i.e talent acquisition, building brand awareness)
• Handling of artist submissions to the studio in a timely manner
• Providing the curation panel with all necessary assets & information to perform their function and collating panel feedback to prospective artists.
• Influencer management
• Partnership management
