Summary

This proposal presents an overview of the scope of work for TokenLogic is to deliver as part of a Financial Service Partnership with the Gearbox community.

During the initial phase, TokenLogic is to deliver the Gearbox Portal. The Portal will provide insights into the following:

1. Revenue Generation
2. Treasury Holdings
3. Runway Analysis

The initial partnership is to commence 5th July, 2024, will cover Ethereum, Arbitrum and Optimism networks and will be delivered Oct/Nov 2024. TokenLogic will continue to host and maintain the dashboards until end of July 2025.

Gearbox Portal

The Gearbox Portal will provide users with easy access to into how the Gearbox v3 generates revenue, what asset the DAO holds in its Treasury and how those asset are currently being distributed.

Revenue

The Gearbox Portal is to provide granular insights into various revenue streams generated by the protocol. The portal is to present hourly and daily data periods for each dToken revenue stream, on each of the three instances of Gearbox v3.

Example of the various Fee Revenue streams:

• Liquidation Fee, which depends on Credit Manager
• Base APY Rate, split between passive lenders and the DAO
• Gauges: Quota APY Rate, split between passive lenders and the DAO
• Quota Fee: Goes only to the DAO

The revenue streams will be presented in aggregate, per iteration of Gearbox, and each nomination. These revenue figures will used to project weekly, monthly and annual revenue. An example dashboard can be found here.

In presenting the revenue data, both realised and unrealised revenue will be displayed. Unrealised revenue will provide insights into the total revenue being generated by the Gearbox Protocol and actual revenue will reflect what is being received by the Treasury.

At a high level, the portal will provide insights into how users are interacting with Gearbox v3, popular collateral and debt asset combinations, and the resulting revenue generated from these strategies. The portal will help showcase the main drivers of Gearbox revenue streams.

Treasury

A comprehensive dashboard showing the composition of the DAO holdings and the yield currently being earned on those assets.

Example performance tracking metrics are shown below:

• Overview metrics such as total value, 30 day change and % held passively
• Distribution of assets by type, across networks and protocols
• Performance of each asset (dToken) allocation
  • $ of revenue generated from yield over specified time period
  • % of yield being generated over specified time period
• Projected treasury value based upon
  • Protocol Fee Revenue
  • Yield generated from Treasury Holdings

The majority of charts and tables will be set to update daily. A summary table will show the value of the DAO’s assets at the end of each month dating back to when v3 was launched.

Runway

The TokenLogic team will present the DAO’s expenses in the form of a visual runway/cashflow projection. The dashboard will provide a transparent overview of the DAOs spend and contextualise it relative to existing revenue sources and asset holdings.

Examples of more insights:

• Detail breakdown of known expenses (like Service Providers)
• Distinctly allocated budgets (Reserve Fund, Referral Program & Liquidity Mining)
• Performance metrics such as Revenue v Spend

All approved budgets and revenue streams are to be reflected in the Runway table. Charts shall reflect the relationship between current holdings and projected expenditure levels.

Pricing

Based upon community feedback and understanding the phase at which Gearbox is at in its growth, we propose the following payment structure:

Total Value: 50k USD paid 50/50 upfront/delivery

• 25k USD equivalent paid 50/50 GEAR/USDC
• 25k USD equivalent paid 50/50 GEAR/USDC

Estimated completion expected around Oct/Nov 2024.

Wherever practical, we will endeavor to incorporate feedback and any requests for further insights beyond those shared above.

Next Steps

Pending the approval of this proposal, TokenLogic will commence this scope starting 5th July, 2024.
