Gearbox DAO

Summary

VIBES initiative requests Gearbox DAO treasury for 15,000,000 GEAR tokens and 120,000 USDC to commence the PR push for V3 and PURE as we exit alpha testing. The funds will be used to onboard ambassadors, creators, BD and more. The purpose of this is to educate, onboard and update potential users and to set up PURE as a first mover in leverage through Margin Trading.

Details

The above mentioned funds will be used for the following activities:

1. Onboarding creators and educators: $26K USDC monthly to be utilised to onboard creators such as Crypto Linn, Stacy Muur, Heartereum, Hitesh Malviya, Revelo Intel, The Rollup, Wajahat Mughal, Grinding Poet and more. Creators will help push farming and set up PURE as an alternative to perps.
2. Internal Creator Community: Managing and expanding the internal creator community of upcoming creators and threaders to further create distribution for PURE. Currently the community has 8 members.
3. BD: $10K USDC monthly to be utilised for BD efforts to onboard more traders through trading groups and user onboarding aggregators.
4. Microincentives: Incentives such as Tradingview, Nansen subscriptions and more linked to specific activities to be utilised to further push new pools and assets utilisation on PURE.
5. Other Expenses: The remaining budget will be used to expand reach on Podcasts, AMAs, piloting Banner Ads post L2 deployment and affiliate marketing.

VIBES will also additionally focus on media, podcasts and social channel expansion organically. Above budget will be utilised ethically for a complete product sided push with key focus on positioning, awareness and onboarding users. The goal of VIBES is to execute the campaign beginning now as we ship V3 farms, STIMMIES (loyalty program rewards), leveraged restaking and L2 deployment over the next 3 months.

Proposal

VIBES subDAO requests Gearbox DAO for a 120K USDC and a 15M GEAR(~$95K currently) to put the plan into execution. This proposal covers the period Feb-April. Any USDC and GEAR left over after the push will roll over into the next quarter’s budget.
