Summary

The VIBES Initiative requests a 160,000 USDC budget from Gearbox’s DAO Treasury to continue its activities and an additional 30M GEAR. The funds will be used to support media and PR activities, work with influencers, business development, and retrospective compensation for events held in Asia in Q4. As always, all expenses will be communicated openly.

Since its inception, VIBES has always had a buffer remain in its multisig, which gets rolled over further unless dismantled. The proposal is made with a buffer in mind so that the marketing and outreach activities can continue in full swing.

Specification

The above funds will be used for the following activities:

Creator and Educator Engagement: $40K USDC monthly to be used for creator engagement (40*3=120K). Currently at 2.3K USDC per month, to be scaled up as needed. IRL events: $30K USDC costs for events in Asia (retrospective). Additional expenses: $10K USDC - can be used for video editing, PR and or any other needs that will help Gearbox grow, intended as a buffer.

The GEAR budget can be used for micro-user engagement campaigns, referral incentives, and other protocol and vision-supporting activities. It’s not a budget to sell.

Next Steps

Multisig signers are nikitakle, mugglesect, amplice and to keep VIBES multisig active, two reshuffles will also be made (0x81E886E84542846558aD409519BBAbF152Fd2c08) is being replaced with (0x135122C833358D3ACB415E6E17b9Aef4254BeE3d) Rising Vista; (0xD700d67DFC683a0888faE314C08450EDA4894B67) Second19 is being replaced with (0xAa163c47065c22D17Ed1c47E3E244337D2056c17) Duckdegen.

This proposal covers the period from December through February. Any USDC remaining after the plan is implemented will be carried over to the next quarter’s budget.
