GHIP 4: Distributing Gas Token Rewards
GHIP 1: Gas-less GAS Token “Staking” passed on 1/04/2022 and set the reward period for 2 months ending on 3/04/2022 You can read the proposal here. This proposal is the follow-up to begin the on-chain process of seeding the Gas-less staking airdrop.
This proposal effectively set aside 30B (3% of the outstanding supply) for staking rewards. The staking rewards can be seen in this CSV here. The purpose of GHIP 4 is to repoll the community that they are in favor of distributing the rewards now to all “stakers".
Execution: The GAS staking contract will look like: https://github.com/gasdao/gasdao/blob/main/contracts/GasDaoStaking.sol If this proposal passes, the contract above will be deployed and a website claim page will be set up. The first step on-chain is to send GAS tokens from the treasury to a Merkle airdrop contract controlled by the Timelock controller, a sample is shown above.
