SUMMARY: The Founders DAO Janitor @Avereth is seeking reimbursement for volunteer work acting as the Founders DAO “manager” for the past 10 months and for the next couple of months until the DAOs treasury is zero.

DETAILS: As many engaged community members are aware, Avereth has dedicated significant time to supporting the DAO in various capacities. His contributions include administrative tasks, managing and securing official accounts and social media, liaising with our director and Cayman Islands legal team, drafting and submitting community proposals, coordinating the multi-signature team, following up on tasks, maintaining transparency through progress updates, and facilitating behind-the-scenes communication with the team. Avereth never sought out an official paid position within the DAO for a number of reasons but one being his experience. Avereth did not have a lot of experience in any of these roles other than basic email and web3 experience. Avereth may not have been the best person for the position at the time, but he was the only person who stood up to act. Avereth wanted to prove his worth and earn the community’s confidence in his capabilities before seeking any form or payment or reimbursement.

With the official Founders DAO wrapping up, Avereth is checking in with the community to see if they think his work deserves payment. Some folks offered to pitch a proposal for compensating his past few months of effort, but Avereth turned it down at the time. He wanted to get a better sense of his role’s value and timeline and also prove his worth for the position as mentioned.

Here are the details:

Avereth became janitor in August 2024. Avereth committed on average 6-7 hours a week over the 10 month period to assisting the DAO in the above mentioned ways. There were definitely a lot of busy days or weeks. But also quieter ones. I think this is a good balance and average.

Avereth is asking the community to vote on his worth. Below is a payment tier structure based on what you think Avereths work was worth for the hours he put in. Base your decision on hours of work and quality of work.

NOTE- Avereth has already been paid $3,800 USD from the Vegas proposal to pay for his flights to attend the events. Take this amount off the total amount for each tier, and that is the final reimbursement Avereth will receive.

Tier 1 = $12,000 USD = $277.13 USD per week.

Tier 2 = $6,000 USD = $138.57 USD per week.

Tier 3 = $3800 USD = $87.77 USD per week.

By voting Tier 3 Avereth will not receive any further payments from the DAO. He has already been paid this amount.

Avereth will volunteer / be employed to remain the DAO’s Janitor until the DAO is dissolved and its treasury reaches at or near $0, indicating no further assets to manage. This process may take an additional one to two months, depending on decisions regarding the DAO’s assets. Avereth agrees that the payment tiers also cover until the DAO’s treasury is at or near zero.

Avereth does not seek any additional compensation for his efforts. He has always viewed his contributions as voluntary, and if the community considers his time as such, and as being compensated enough already, he accepts that perspective and decision.

Reminder, this remaining treasury can be used by the DAO to pay for Dev services for creating a raffle, lottery or distributing our “assets”. What to do with the remaining treasury assets can be voted on by the community in future proposals.
