Motivation:

Increase excitement, engagement and participation of current and future xPunk owners in Discord and social media by:

• tying the xPunks expansion story closer to its CryptoPunk origin and inspiration;
• providing benefits of CryptoPunk ownership to xPunk members/holders;
• increasing opportunities to spread the equity mission and inclusiveness origin story of the Expansion Punks; and
• raising the profile and value of the Expansion Punks project.

Details & Implementation:

Purchase - Multi-Signature Wallet (“MSW”) representatives will be charged with identifying and purchasing a CryptoPunk for the xPunks DAO treasury/gallery (by majority vote of participating MSW reps). The selected CryptoPunk shall be priced within 10 ETH of the CrytoPunk floor at the time of purchase, shall be female, and be non-smoking/vaping. All other attributes are up to the discretion of the MSW team, guided by the motivation(s) stated above: increasing excitement, engagement and participation of current and future xPunk members/holders.

Storage/Custody - Once purchased, the CryptoPunk will be held in the Community Treasury Wallet, secured by the MSW.

Assignment of Utility/Benefits - This XIP’s intention is simply to acquire/purchase the CryptoPunk and hold in ExpansionDAO Treasury Wallet. Any future decisions re: possible utilities/benefits associated with the CryptoPunk will be governed by future XIPs

Timeline:

Barring extraordinary circumstances, (force majeure, etc.) the purchase shall be made within 21 days of a yes vote.

Cost:

As of time of drafting this XIP, the floor CryptoPunk is 65.80 ETH. If purchased today, MSW reps would be authorized to spend up to 75.80 ETH to acquire their preferred CryptoPunk.
