Dear EVMavericks,
Our treasury wallet already plays a pivotal role in supporting the decentralization of Ethereum by holding rETH, a great move! However, as we progress with our endeavors in the Ethereum network, it’s essential to also consider our long-term commitment with layer 0, namely with the core contributors.
Aligned with the beliefs of the EVMavericks community, we anticipate the continued appreciation of ETH in the years to come. In light of this, I propose a proactive measure: initiating a donation from our treasury funds, inspired by the ‘Protocol Guild Pledge’.
Specifically, I suggest allocating 1%-10% of our treasury as an annual contribution each year starting now.
This initiative not only underscores our commitment to Ethereum, but more importantly it shows we support the core people. It’s crucial to recognize that these individuals could readily opt for ventures focused solely on monetary returns. Instead, they stand with Ethereum, demonstrating a profound commitment to its principles and vision. And THAT is something we need to support.
Let us collectively embrace this opportunity to give back and strengthen the very foundation upon which Ethereum thrives.
If the vote passes, the current signers will donate the most voted percentage of our treasury to the official donation address of The Protocol Guild.
