Entropy

Summary

This proposal is requesting 15 ETH for the initial development of River, a platform to organize onchain media. This work will also include the continued development of Assembly Press, the underlying public infrastructure maintained by Public Assembly.

Who we are

Lifeworld is a technology studio developing open information systems.

River

We want to create space for the intentional creation and distribution of information outside of hyper-financialized environments. Think of shared blogs, playlists, or even archives. Over time, these primitives will support all kinds of information (not just media), and we are seeking support from the Entropy community to help shape the network towards this vision. Here are a few notable features that will be available on day 1:

• Collaborative channels - invite any Ethereum address to add items to your channel
• Personal library - a place to manage your media
• Discovery - explore channels on River

We are working towards releasing a prototype on September 15th*

Assembly Press

The continued development of Assembly Press as a full-stack framework (frontend, backend, protocol) will make it easier and faster for teams like Entropy - Proposal 7 to build onchain applications. River will be the first production platform built on Assembly Press, open-sourcing the process for more projects to follow.
