DIP-14 : Pixel Maps (For Game)
Overview
DIP-14 will fund creation of tileset map assets for a minimum-viable Dope Wars game world. The experience will integrate the Swap Meet marketplace functions that are currently found in DopeWars.gg into an interactive game world.
Creation of a tileset map for Dope Wars and achieving implementation targets will also allow for streamlined integration with other metaverse projects such as Webb3.

Outdoor Map

The tileset map will feature a number of interactive options for players, but will be limited to a realistic scope for a target release date.
- Storefronts will be available for players to enter. Separate proposals will fund the development of interiors which will feature single-scene illustrations with shopkeeper purchasing and dialogue options.
- The Subway will take players to a zoomed-out $TURF map of a larger game world. This map will show other โcity blockโ locations available for travel, implementation and development planned through a separate proposal.
- The payphone will be the game world object that interfaces with the StarkNet Dope Wars drug arbitrage game, allowing players to play the MVP version of this feature. This will be experienced through a pop-up, single screen interface when interacting with the payphone, similar to the storefront interiors.
- An in-game ATM will link the player to a Uniswap UX for trading PAPER.
- Four color palettes for buildings and objects โ dawn, day, dusk, and night.
- Buildings will feature two states indicating whether theyโre open or closed. For example, roll-down gates, closed signs, or barred/boarded up windows.
Specifics for additional storefront options and features will be decided on through the MVP development process, and will be clearly communicated with the community.
