Overview

The proposal aims to fund a trip to Japan to attend the ETH Global Tokyo Event and create a promotional video for the Dope Wars project. The project includes covering the cost of a return ticket to Japan, hotel accommodation, video footage of the event, and an interview with attendees.

Components & Responsibilities

• The proposer will be responsible for attending the event, creating the video footage, and conducting the interviews.
• The DAO will be responsible for funding the flight and accommodation costs for the proposer and the interviewer.
• Neither the interviewer nor Cyberbitz will be compensated for their time spent on tasks related to this project, such as compiling and organizing.

1. Interviews and Exposure

Background

I propose that the DAO fund my trip to Japan for the ETH Global Tokyo Event. The cost of a return ticket is $1200, and I will cover the cost of my hotel during the trip. My plan is to attend the event and take video footage of the event, including the Unixlabs team, which includes five of their developers and two global partners, who are developing Dope Frenzy and will be attending the hackathon.

During the event, I also plan to use a female interviewer (No not my Girlfriend lol), to interview people around the event and Tokyo about Dope Wars & Collective games and their general thoughts on the crypto gaming environment. The goal is to create a fun video that showcases a different side of Dope Wars by using a female interviewer who is fun and interactive, making it easier for people to approach and talk to us. We also plan to grab footage of people playing Dope Frenzy, Infiltration & the MMO if ready by then

I have a few other friends attending from their own projects and hope to convince them to wear Dope Wars shirts or play Dope Frenzy and get a reaction. Additionally, we already have existing merch from the last Crypto Event in Bali, which I plan to distribute to others.

I request that the DAO cover the cost of the interviewer’s flight and hotel for three days, which is approximately $1350 total. Video editing should cost around $300. I will not charge the DAO for any of my hours spent promoting Dope Wars since it is something I enjoy doing.

My plan is to spend a week in Japan to ensure that I have enough time to cover the ETH event and capture additional interview footage on the streets

With this proposal, I aim to show that Dope Wars is still very much alive and kicking. The event will not only provide us with more content but also attract more attention to our project, which could help us in the future. While funding for marketing may not pour directly into the DAO treasury, it will still help raise awareness of the project, and I believe that it is worth investing in.

Scope

The proposer will attend the event and film the proceedings, including interviews with attendees and footage of them playing DopeWars. The scope of the project includes the creation of a fun and interactive video that showcases the project and the crypto gaming environment.

• Marketing: The video can be used in future marketing efforts to showcase the project and attract more users and investors, as well as for social media purposes.
• Cost savings: The DAO will only be responsible for the cost of the flights and hotel for the interviewer, as the proposer will cover their own hotel costs and will not charge the DAO for their time spent on promoting Dopewars.
