GM Dope DAO

EthCC was a huge success for the onchaing gaming AW narrative with many viewing it as the most successful part of the convention. The Realms crew (Biblio DAO) had a large contingent present and we were lucky enough to have Dope DAO members there in their work for Cartridge. After the success of EthCC, Biblio and the Starknet Foundation are looking to capitalise on the momentum for onchain gaming by creating events for DEVCON Thailand this year in November. This proposal seeks to authorise the travel of myself and Cyber to attend DEVCON and make sure Dope Wars is fully represented and involved in the events that take place. The events are being developed now and will be ongoing - we intend to be included in the process of creating as well as participating.

The breakdown of costs are:

Flights $2100

Accomodation: $600

Devcon Tickets: $900

Merch budget: $600

Total: $4200

Like it has been described in DIP-93, Dope DAO will continue to pursue further funding from the Starknet Foundation. If we are successful it would be possible that part of the grant schedule would be supplied to use in promotion of onchain gaming at Starkent events. This is part of the relationship that exists with Biblio DAO after their success with such a large SN Foundation Grant. The onchain gaming space is an important area to Starknet where they see themselves as well positioned as a great gaming chain due to the technical affordances that don’t exist elsewhere. By being productive and including ourselves in promotion of this, we set ourselves up to be a valued partner of the Starknet Foundation. The Foundation are already being very proactive in communicating with us and offering us promotional support, we are keen to keep developing this relationship. The costs will be taken from our ETH treasury in the event of a successful proposal.
