Summary

This proposal seeks to establish $CODE rewards for members who publish articles on the D_D blog.

Motivation

Members are writing articles for the D_D blog, which contributes to the DAO’s mission and goals, so they should be rewarded for their work.

Scope

To be eligible, articles have to satisfy the following criteria:

• MUST be successfully published on the Developer DAO blog
• MUST be at least 1,000 words long
• MUST be Web3 or Developer DAO related
• MUST NOT be AI-generated or plagiarized
• MUST NOT be cross-posted on other platforms

Each author is only eligible for one article a week.

Authors of articles that match these criteria are rewarded with 150 $CODE.

Top 3 Articles of the Month Rewards

The three most viewed articles a month are rewarded with:

1. 450 $CODE
2. 300 $CODE
3. 150 $CODE

Each article is only eligible for the month it was posted.

Authors are rewarded in the month following the publication of their eligible articles.

Retroactive Rewards

Authors that already published articles on the Developer DAO blog are retroactively rewarded with 150 $CODE tokens per article that satisfied the criteria from above.

To claim retroactive rewards, authors

• MUST tell the blog editor which articles they think are eligible
• MUST claim their retroactive rewards within 60 days after this proposal was approved.
• The editor MUST verify the articles adhere to the criteria listed above before issues the rewards.

Value Proposition

Authors might submit more articles to the DAO blog, increasing its views. Members that contribute articles to the DAO blog will accumulate more $CODE tokens and, in turn, be more motivated to participate in governance.
