While we did sell the smaller of the two chunks, there has been little appetite for an estate of this size at the moment. We have opted not to sell it at a steep discount.

Proposal

(1) Keep 100 of the 150 parcels at the team’s discretion to sell.

(2) Allocate UP TO the remaining 50 parcels as prizes redeemable for BADGES in the prize marketplace with 10 listed to start.

Rationale

This was discussed with the community in the forum in Discord over the last week, but the primary rationale is that, like the physical prizes we have introduced, these will serve as an ICE Sink by way of $ICE --> SHINE --> BADGES --> LAND.

Secondly, the DG DAO hasn’t made plans to use this LAND and we have significant room to expand our DAU in the parcels other parcels we have. More details about this are in the proposal linked in the Background section. While this is unused, we would love to see members of the DG DAO and other players claim this LAND and develop it. In addition to the ICE Sink component, this development would indirectly benefit DG and Decentraland.
