Background

ICE Poker FLEX Tournament mode goes live on 9/12. This gameplay mode burns ICE and helps to balance the overall ICE Poker economy; all else equal, the more gameplay that takes place the more ICE is burned.

Proposal

Fund out $28,750 in rewards out of the Gameplay Vest Allocation for:

(1) First 50 players to claim an All Access Wearable prize will receive $200 in xDG.

(2) Top 20 win % w/ > 100 tournaments played 9/12 - 10/11 get: 1st: $1,000 in xDG 2nd: $950 in xDG 3rd: $900 in xDG 4th: $850 in xDG 5th: $800 in xDG 6th: $750 in xDG 7th: $700 in xDG 8th: $650 in xDG 9th: $600 in xDG 10th: $550 in xDG 11-20th: $500 in xDG

(3) Top 3 badges earned 9/12 - 10/11: 1st: $3,000 xDG 2nd: $2,000 xDG 3rd: $1,000 xDG

Rationale

These incentives will help to bootstrap player liquidity and encourage people to play. Rewards (1) and (3) specifically encourage a high volume of play; whereas, the largest bucket of rewards, (2), encourages both volume of play (100+ games) and playing well.

This proposal seeks to fund these rewards for one month in the total amount of $28,750 and doesn’t seek approval for additional months at this time.

These are rewards for gameplay so it’s reasonable to draw these rewards from that allocation.
