Should we modify Blender grant to patron level support?

The community has voted in favor of Decentraland being part of the Blender Development Fund, history made! There’s nothing quite as wholesome as open source projects supporting open source projects <3
In the proposal I mentioned corporate gold for 5 years, but if we upgraded to patron level support for 1 year we would get huge social media coverage (which would spread to various forums / hacker news / articles / etc) and it would still only cost about 0.2% of available funds. For example, see how the public reacted to the news of Apple becoming a patron member.
The fight for an open metaverse will define the 2020s and Blender is one of the most important open source projects in the 3D creator ecosystem. “A rising tide lifts all boats.”
