My name is pablo.dcl.eth, and I am a developer with over 20 years of professional experience in programming, technology, and marketing. I first discovered Decentraland in 2017, and by 2019, I was convinced by its potential as a decentralized, immersive virtual world. I invested a significant part of my savings and left a stable, well-paid job to dedicate more time to Decentraland, even while managing family responsibilities. These choices reflect my strong belief in the project.

Genesis City was the heart of what attracted many creators and players to Decentraland in 2019-2020. Its vision of a shared, interactive, and user-driven virtual space inspired a community of innovators and dreamers who believed in shaping their own digital worlds. This original appeal is a foundation we must build upon, evolving Genesis City into a space that continues to capture imaginations and drive engagement.

My vision is to make Genesis City playable, transforming it into a dynamic game where visitors, citizens, and landowners have distinct roles. Visitors explore, citizens participate in collaborative adventures, and landowners enhance the ecosystem by programming unique experiences that complement the game.

In the long term, I envision Genesis City as the core of a thriving ecosystem where every interaction fosters a sense of belonging and community. Beyond game mechanics, the strategic goal is to make Genesis City a model for sustainability and decentralized creativity, incentivizing continuous participation and the development of new experiences. This requires empowering users with tools and systems that enable them to build, innovate, and grow within the virtual world.

Decentraland also has a unique opportunity to engage a younger audience with more free time, curiosity, and passion for exploring new platforms. By collaborating with schools or creating appealing content, we can introduce them to Decentraland and the values of web3: decentralization, ownership, and collaboration. This can inspire future generations to embrace these principles and help shape a more horizontal digital world.

To ensure transparency, I would report my work in detail and, when possible, live-stream progress to keep the community informed. In case I am involved in a project, I would abstain from voting on decisions related to it to avoid any potential conflicts of interest.

If at any point stepping down from the Council role would pragmatically benefit Decentraland, I would do so without hesitation to ensure the project’s continued success.
