Coordinape Weighted Gives
After discussions with core members of some well known DAOs (Bankless, FWB, Gitcoin +) they pretty much all unanimously suggest we switch to a weighted GIVEs system.
What this means is that CRE8Rs with more experience will be given more GIVEs than n00bs. The reason for this is because the longer you’re in the DAO, the more you know who the other cre8rs are, what they do, they value of the GIVEs, the value of the work itself, etc.
In our first internal Coordinape I saw the downsides of everyone being given 100 by default first hand - many of the people were new to the DAO and literally had no idea who they were and what they did. On the contrary, those who have been around and are active, had a way better idea of how to allocate appropriately.
Perhaps in the future we can have a more complex calculation based on some sort of metrics like discord activity or total GIVEs received but here are the options for a potential first step:
