Abstract:

We propose to launch a new collection, BBH x ART, where graffiti works created by invited artists will be minted as NFTs and made available for purchase. This collection aims to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work and reach new audiences in the digital space.

Specification Overview:

The BBH x ART collection will be hosted on a secure, decentralized platform, and will feature graffiti works minted as NFTs. Invited artists will create their works using the provided materials, and the final product will be photographed and documented for the purpose of minting as NFTs. An iPad Pro with Wi-Fi, 11 inches and 128 GB, and an Apple Pencil (2nd gen) will be used for this process.

Rationale:

The use of an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil will allow for live-streaming of the mural painting process, as well as for capturing high-quality photos and footage for promotional purposes. We’ll use it to put mock-ups together and it will help a lot in the creative process. This will provide a more immersive experience for audiences and allow for greater exposure for the artists and their work.

Technical Specification:

The public API of the BBH x ART collection will be designed to ensure the security and accessibility of the NFTs. The collection will be hosted on a decentralized platform, providing a secure and trustworthy environment for transactions.

Note:

The total cost of the proposal is 15120€, including 900€ per month for the team, 1100€ per month for two murals and two canvases, 300€ per month for materials for artists to paint the murals and canvases, 100€ per month for base material for the paintings, and 20€ per month for NFT minting. The iPad Pro and Apple Pencil are included in the total asked, which is equivalent to 10,88 Eth (at 1400€).

If the initiative is able to secure sponsorship for the material, the funds related to the materials from the sponsored brand will not be used and will be credited to the initiative.

I (Mesk) will be selecting the artists and will start by inviting some of my closest friends, and also some of the best street artists in the scene. The idea is for this project to be sustainable so I also have close contact with some paint suppliers and I’ll try to get them to sponsor the project so that it doesn’t need to keep asking BBH for funding.

I have high expectations for this and these 6 months are just the first step, much more to come, but let’s get this started first so that we can show what we bears can put together.

We’ve already found a space in a warehouse where we can control the lights and sound, weather conditions, and other variables for the mural painting in order to get the best possible result when recording the process and creating the NFT itself.

The rental fee for this space isn’t being considered in the proposal and won’t be, as it is a courtesy of the team who wants to see this moving forward.
