Swap 1.69 ETH into MATIC
Objective
Convert ~10% of CW’s liquid to MATIC for gaming initiatives. ETH assets are suffering; Polygon is seeing significant adoption thanks to gaming and low transaction costs.
Steps + Allocation
Swap 1.69 ETH + gas (when relatively low) for MATIC.
1 ETH for medium- to long-term investment, to diversify some of CW portfolio from one struggling with tx costs for years versus one with significant growth potential.
.69 as a fund to reward and encourage new creators and gamers in BOTB.
This has myriad potential applications. One example Sheep threw out was rewarding the 5 players who represented BOTB with an admirable 2nd place in Nifty Mayhem tournament.
If funded, community can vote whether these rewards will be dispensed on a case-by-case basis or at the Council’s discretion.
Summary
The meta on MATIC has shifted. Web3’s most prominent builders are creating assets on Polygon every day. Diversification into a low-transaction chain strengthens the CW’s portfolio. Polygon being integrated with ETH—in addition to the above reasons—makes it the most logical option.
