Summary

The Forefront team is requesting 12.5ETH in retroactive funding for recreating Terminal to better integrate Nounish DAOs and introducing ongoing support for the Nouns Builder protocol. From our understanding, this is the first product focused on providing in-depth metrics and leveraging protocol-level functionality for all Nouns Builder DAOs in one place.

What is this?

Terminal brings context to members of tokenized communities. We currently exist as the analytics hub for all tokenized communities, and are regularly adding features to help members and contributors be informed citizens of the broader ecosystem.

Terminal for communities launched on the Nouns Builder protocol includes:

Community Pages: individual terminals for every active Nounish DAO. These include Membership & Treasury metrics, Proposal & Funding metrics, Proposal tracking, Governance turnout, Member directories, and more.

Rankings: a ranked dashboard of tokenized communities, including Nounish DAOs, to quickly compare communities across treasury holdings, NFT value, number of members, voter turnout, and more.

Marketplace: the ability to track, bid, and settle all active auctions on the Nouns Builder protocol and throughout the Nouns ecosystem.

We believe that Terminal is not only a valuable resource for members of the Builder DAO community and broader Nouns Builder ecosystem, but also serves as a funnel sending users toward auctions and helping them to discover new communities and find new ways to engage. 

What is our ask?

Terminal will continue to develop over time, and premium features such as notifications, member profile pages, forum integrations, and more may require a subscription from individual DAOs to activate these features on their terminal.

However, Forefront aims to continue to provide the existing functionality (+ additional core features based on user feedback) to the ecosystem for free to all users. 

We are requesting:

• 8 ETH for the 1.5 months of development costs for integrating the Nouns Builder Protocol.
• 4.5 ETH to support ongoing site maintenance for the Nouns Builder community.

This works out to 12.5 ETH in retroactive funding for the development work to make Terminal more Nounish + ongoing maintenance and development of the site and core feature set.
