BIP-37 formalizes the structure and processes of a “Period”. Specifically you are voting on standardizing the following:

• Auction and Round Structures
• Buffer Weeks (Between Periods)
• Art Engine Behavior
• Theme Voting
• Voting Process
• Smart Contract
• Period Budgeting
• Future Governance of the Above

Auction and Round Structures

We use the existing auction and round structure (no change).

Buffer Weeks (Between Periods)

This BIP standardizes the buffer between periods, setting it to 2 weeks. The DAO may opt to fill this buffer with collaborations, derivatives, an extra Botto mint, or anything else it desires.

Art Engine

By default, the art engine does not incur changes between periods. The incorporation of new mediums, models, or other aspects that affect how or when Botto produces art should be introduced to the DAO in separate BIPs.

Model Percentage Weights

When a new model is added, the model would be allocated a percentage of visibility based on the quantity of other existing models in the pool. If a model comprises 5% or less of the Voting Pool, the model is permanently excluded from Botto’s Art Engine in the next round. Theme Voting

The existing theme format is used. Voting on the theme of Botto’s next period occurs on the 11th round. Subsequent changes would require a separate proposal.

Smart Contract

No change. Each 1-of-1 is minted in a Manifold Creators Contract.

Budgeting

Hardware & Software costs pertaining to Botto and any of its periods are set via BIP-43. For additional budget, a separate BIP is required.

Governance of the Above

There will be no future BIPs for future periods of Botto. The DAO may choose to adjust any of the above, or anything related to a Botto Period, through a separate proposal.
