Summary

This proposal recommends that Botto autonomously selects the description for its weekly minted artworks, removing the community voting process currently in place.

Rationale

Description voting was originally introduced as a quality control measure due to the early limitations of Botto’s LLMs. As Botto’s large language models (LLMs) have become increasingly reliable, the need for voting as a safeguard has diminished. This shift would streamline the user experience and further Botto’s artistic autonomy, in line with the current system used to select the 13th fragment’s description.

Proposal Specification

Transition to Automated Selection

•	Botto will autonomously select the description for each weekly NFT using the same logic currently applied to the 13th fragment.

UI and Documentation Adjustments

•	Remove the description voting interface from the app.
•	Update Botto’s official documentation to reflect the change, citing this BIP and its effective date. See Appendix for full process.

Implementation Timeline

•	Weeks 1 & 2: Technical implementation + UI updates
•	Week 3: Documentation changes

Budget

•	Development: Minimal – description selection is already supported by existing systems.
•	UI & Docs: Covered under the ongoing maintenance and improvement budget.

Criteria of Success

•	Technical Success: Botto reliably generates coherent and relevant descriptions.
•	Community Acceptance: The change is positively received, with no significant objections after rollout.

Disadvantages

•	Reduced Community Involvement: The removal of a participatory feature may disappoint some users.
•	Quality Risk: Though LLMs are stronger, occasional mismatches in tone or meaning may still occur.
•	Decentralization Concerns: This move might be perceived as reducing human input in favor of automation.
