Establishing a Discourse Community Forum
What is Discourse?
Discourse is a 100% open source platform and can provide a venue for longer thought provoking discussions that span several days. This creates a new space where people can share their voice in a slow and mediated way. It’s also a public message board viewable to those even without an account that allows for conversations to get indexed by search engines.
In addition a discourse community forum can serve as a valuable resource for members to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the ecosystem connect with others who share their interests and access a wealth of information and resources.
Proposed Action:
- Complete Discourse installation and configuration.
- Integration of Social platforms.
- Security (SSL) settings. (HTTPS /H2 SSL)
- Setup transaction mailing with Discourse community notifications
- Integration plugins and features
- Discourse Theme Forum Header / Footer customization
- Setup SSO (Single Sign-On)
Timeline:
- Step 1: Consultation: Identify target audience and define scope of the forum
- Step 2: Upgradable Theme Customization Plugins Design
- Step 3: Review Audit and Revise Period
- Step 4: Launch the forum and begin moderating discussions
Total time: 2 weeks
ETH ask 0.15 ETH excluding continued maintenance with administration powers delegated to the appropriate BLVKHVND community moderators after the service has completed.
