Should we launch a $100,000 liquidity pool on Avalanche ($50k XIO / $50k USDC)?

Launch a $100,000 liquidity pool on Avalanche ($50k XIO / $50k USDC)

Goal

  • Jumpstart liquidity on Avalanche
  • Increase usability of the Vortex
  • Hedging ourselves against XIO inflation.

Problem For the Vortex to be successful, people will need to either (i) bridge XIO from Ethereum or (ii) buy on Avalanche. Having liquidity on Avalanche will help the latter – increasing opportunity for new participants.

Solution Bridge $50k XIO to Avalanche and pair it with $50k USDC on Pangolin DEX (or Trader Joe).

There are a few secondary benefits of adding our own liquidity to Avalanche.

  • We own this liquidity and don’t have to pay/rent for it as much in the form of liquidity mining. Thus, reducing potential inflation/expenses.
  • If XIO does happen to go down, we get more XIO to refill our Treasury! This is a form of hedging against token volatility.
