BitDAO

Context

The proposal below will initiate the formal launch of EduDAO, the planned delegation of voting rights and the deployment of the first tranche of funding, allowing our community to begin its journey.

Proposal

By voting ‘Yes’ on this proposal, you approve:

• The official launch of EduDAO

• The adoption of selection criteria for the initial bootstrapping Steering Committee

• The disbursement of the first tranche of funding in accordance with the original proposal ($5.5m)

Steering Committee Criteria

In order to facilitate entity formation, and operations for EduDAO during the Bootstrapping phase, a Steering Committee Council must be selected by the BitDAO community. We propose the following:

1 representative selected by Windranger Labs

1 representative selected by Mirana Ventures

1 representative selected by a majority vote by all participating EduDAO universities (currently: Blockchain at Berkeley, FranklinDAO, Harvard Blockchain Club, MIT Sloan Blockchain Club, Blockchain at Michigan, Blockchain@USC, Oxford Blockchain Society, and Tsinghua University Students Blockchain Association)

Any of these entities can be replaced as representatives on the Steering Committee Council by a BitDAO snapshot vote. The amount of representatives can also be changed by a BitDAO snapshot vote.
