• The Arb Fast Lane has a few purposes
  • Help ensure Carbon DeFi’s users have their strategies filled when in the money
  • Use gains to bring pools to a state of surplus
  • It provides a large number of additional benefits to blockchains such as making markets more efficient, filling blocks, sending transactions to the wider DeFi ecosystem on that chain - but this is beyond the scope of this proposal as none of this will change.
• From the start, it was recognized that the Bancor 3 fee discount could potentially be taken advantage of, though it was uncertain whether the benefits would justify the effort required to do so.
• In recent weeks,likely due to market movements, multiple attempts, some successful, to take advantage of the discount while avoiding the protocol receiving its due portion of the arbitrage.
• Instead of engaging in a time consuming and expensive game of cat and mouse, this proposal suggests simply removing the fee discount.
• This would make the Arb Fast Lane on mainnet function exactly like it does on CELO, SEI and all other chains where it is active.
