[AIP-105] Deposit to Spark
Proposal
Deposit $150k worth of ALCX tokens from the treasury to a siloed Spark lending pool.
Context
Spark (https://spark.fi) is the lending protocol operated by SparkDAO, which is a part of MakerDAO. Spark proposed that Alchemix deploys $150k worth of ALCX tokens from the treasury to seed one side of the lending market and they would seed the other side with DAI.
The lending market would then be open to all participants to either deposit ALCX and borrow DAI, or to deposit DAI and borrow ALCX. Depositors receive the interest paid by borrowers similar to most markets.
The existence of this lending market would add some utility to the ALCX token so that it can be borrowed, provide a small amount of additional income to the treasury through interest payments and would provide additional project visibility by being present on Spark.
The amount is low enough not to cause a large negative price impact even if the full amount is borrowed and sold.
If the market performs well, the treasury may receive part of the Spark protocol airdrop.
