Little History: Gotchis can earn spirit points from aging and gaining XP. Since the first haunt it wasn’t totally flushed out how points would be interpreted in the gotchiverse. Recently we’ve gotten more clarity from the gotchiverse bible and DAO conversations with Pixelcraft. Until this time gotchi owners have been allocating earned spirit points in order to increase their gotchis BRS and climb the BRS leaderboard.

Mistakes have been made: There has been a basic misunderstanding of the BRS trait curve and the BRS calculation formula. Players have miss allocated their earned points which resulted in lowered their gotchi’s BRS. Currently there is no “undo”. There needs to be a way to allow gotchi owners to reallocate earned points.

Proposal: New Spirit Respecification Potion, this potion would rollback the gotchi’s spirit points to when it was summoned and unallocating their earned points. The gotchi’s earned points can be reallocated. This would allow gotchi owners to fix past mistakes. It would also allow owners to better align their gotchi traits with wearables and wearable sets.

The gotchi owner would receive in their wallet one free potion per gotchi at time of snapshot (snapshot to be determined by Pixelcraft). Unsummoned gotchis would not get a potion since they have no earned spirit points. Currently around 20K summoned gotchis.

Airdrop example: If a gotchi owner has 10 gotchis in their wallet at the time of the snapshot, they would receive 10 potions at the time of the airdrop.

Potion example: A gotchi has earned 10 spirit points by aging and acquiring XP. The owner decides to put them all on Brain Size, thinking they are building an effective long range fighter, but realize in the gotchiverese their other traits are underpowered. They could consume a respec potion and reallocate their 10 earned spirit points. Maybe put 4 on Brain Size and 6 on Energy.

This potion would be eligible to be listed in the baazaar just like Kinship and XP potions.

Why airdrop? This is an added value to gotchi owners. It provides a “undo” for past allocation mistakes, and gives gotchi buyers a way to undo previous gotchi’s owners mistakes. A potion being bought and sold in the baazaar allows for market price discovery, and can provide fees in the baazaar to fund future rarity farming events.
